Quick shipping update

Hi all,

In the previous update when you read "This week all the orders of Ravn will be shipped out of the warehouse",  a normal person expects that by Friday evening all the packages are out of the warehouse heading to USPS facility for sorting. 

Before we inquire and get something like the following answer:

"the week is not over, the is saturday and sunday", we want to be sure that the week is over. Maybe they are working in the weekend, too.

We checked Backerkit and the fulfillment is not completed yet. Once it is, we will be able to send the email with the tracking number.

BOTTOM LINE:

Let's wait until monday, we hope that on monday all the packages are out of the warehouse for real.

Fulfillment starts! Finally! Important instructions

Hi all!

finally the fulfillment is in progress. Sorry if it is taking ages, we have very little control on this. The delays - according to fulfillment center - are caused by the following:

• COVID19: of course
• Ice Storm in Texas in The day after tomorrow fashion
• Inventory system upgrade (took 3 weeks)
• Amazon stealing workers
• Godzilla
• Kaju invasion

The email we got says the following:

"This week all the orders of Ravn will be shipped out of the warehouse."

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

1) How fulfillment works

All the packages are shipped from Texas.

Uncut sheets are shipped SEPARATELY in a tube. If you have an uncut sheet in your pledge, you will get 2 packages: a tube with the uncut sheet and the box with the decks.

Procedure

• Once the label is created and the parcel is shipped, you will get (future tense) an email that includes the tracking number and where to track it. Not today.
• The mail comes from Backerkit/RAVN IIII.
• It might take a few days before the tracking number gets active especially for international parcels.
• Once the package is on its way it is a matter of days (USA) or weeks (International).

Transit time

• USA: 2-4 DAYS (USPS)
• REST OF THE WORLD: 2-6 WEEKS, depending on the destination, the carrier, the pandemic etc.
• Countries with problematic postal services: up to 2 months nowadays (Brazil, China, Russia, Estonia, and a few others)

2) Inquiries and shipping issues

CASE 1. tracking number not received or inactive

• check your spam/junk folder in the mailbox associated with your Kickstarter account.
• writing a comment on Kickstarter or social media does not help because we cannot keep track of it.
• If there is a problem contact us with a mail message via Kickstarter, not with a comment on Kickstarter or via social media (you will be bounced to Kickstarter platform).
• Backers with uncut sheet will get one tracking number, which is the one for the main package (decks)

CASE 2. Parcel in transit, but taking too long

• Please remember that the ongoing pandemic is slowing down everything
• US backers: inquire USPS  or UPS/FedEx (depending on the carrier)
• Rest of the world: if the tracking number shows the package arrived in your country and not yet delivered, you need to call the customer service of your postal service or the carrier associated to it.

CASE 3. Any kind of issue with the received package

• contact us with a mail message via Kickstarter, not with a comment on Kickstarter or social media.
• If the package arrives with damage and the items are damaged too, take pictures of the package, the label, and the items. Write a mail via Kickstarter and I will follow up.
• For any other issue, contact me via Kickstarter (mail).

CASE 4. Unable to deliver and/or returning Parcels

• If the address is incorrect and the parcel returns, unfortunately, I have to ask you additional shipping costs to reship the package a second time to the correct address.
• Remember that you can keep track of your item and see if there are issues or exceptions.

CASE 5. Customs (int.backers)

• if the customs of your country decide to stop the package, open the package, inspect the package, and apply tax or fees, we cannot refund or reship the items. 

CASE 6. Parcels marked as delivered but not received

• if a package is marked as delivered when shipped to a consolidation center, and you do not get it when they forward it to you, it is their mistake and they will have to refund you. We do not reship.
• not reshipping if marked as delivered. 
• Check again your physical mailbox, garden, porch, ask family member or neighbours, and see if someone took it on your behalf for some reason.

CASE 7. Protective cellophane and microscopic dents

• All the decks are protected with cellophane. We do not consider a deck damaged if the cellophane is slightly damaged.
• microscopic dents are not considered as damage and the item will not be replaced. See case 3 if the items are damaged.

Backers' Responsibility

We do all we can to keep you posted, help, and deliver what you pledged for.

Please make sure that:

• you read the updates and acquire the information I provide.
• you entered the correct and complete shipping address.
• you keep an eye to your shipment and follow the tracking number.

CLAIMS deadline

• We do not accept claims after 90 days of the shipping date.
• I do not accept claims about the items after 15 days of the delivery date.

Once we know the packages have been shipped out we will write another update so we all are on the same page. Just hang on!

Locking addresses, shipping soon

Hi all!

just a quick update to say that we should be able to ship soon.  Fulfillment was supposed to start the 1st of march, then it became 5th of March, but we suspect it will start a few days later.

Meanwhile, we sent the emails via backerkit. Everybody should have it and it is an important mail that asks you to change/update your address in case you need to.

The email address is the one you used for the kickstarter campaign. If you changed the email address, please double check the old one.

Got no mail? go to https://ravn4.backerkit.com/

If you take no action, the address will be automatically locked and that is the one we are going to use.

Any reshipping because the address is outdated/invalid/incomplete, will imply more shipping fees for both US and international backers.

Unresponsive backers

At the moment we have 13 unresponsive backers with incomplete survey. They will be left behind until they complete the survey and submit the address. 

To them we are not able to ship anything.

Scheduling fulfillment

Hi all!

Finally we have a schedule.

Fulfillment will start at the end of February / beginning of March. We know it is late, but the RavnX LTD are ready after the 15th of February, and the fulfillment center will be closed for approx 2 weeks (15-28feb) for inventory system upgrade.

Shipping Addresses

At the end of February we will write another update with detailed instructions. 

All backers will receive (future tense, not today) a mail with instructions and a link. In case you need to update the shipping address, that is the chance to do it.

Backers with uncollected pledges: final call.

There are a bunch of backers with uncollected pledges/payments still present in the system (Backerkit). These backers' deadline is February 25th. After that date these backers will be removed from Backerkit.

Production update: USPCC is ready

Hi all!

quick update to let you know that finally USPCC completed the production of Ravn4. 

They are about to ship to the fulfillment center and hopefully the boxing (tuckbox+cards) will be done in decent times.

The gilding of RAVN X LTD is taking some time, they will be ready on February 15.

We will decide if we can do a segmented fulfillment once we get news from the boxing department.

This is the production status.

Once we have news about the fulfillment we will let you know.
